Why Fight

Started out with a "What would Lucas say to that", however while I was drawing for whatever reason I was reminded on one of my end theories pertaining to the darker idea Itoi had originally thought. I like to think that Lucas instead lets the world be destroyed because everything he held dear to him was taken away and he still wasn't able to defeat the person responsible for everything. After all that fighting with his friends, in the end they were easily defeated and he was left alone to fight his brother, who killed himself leaving Lucas as alone as he was all those years ago. How much grief could he be going through right then? And then his father tells him to go pull the needle right after that without giving the boy a moment to calm himself? I saw few moments throughout the game that Lucas could even consider wanting to save the world...anyways, rambling. Because of this, I consider post-game Lucas to be a very angry child who just wants to avoid situations similar to what he has already been put through.
